The 2024 GREATER LOS ANGLES STRONGEST is a Strongman Corporation contest OPEN to all qualified member athletes. The top three athletes* in each Weight Class will qualify for the 2024 National Championship. Weight Divisions are: Light Weight Women (LWW) -140lb Weight Class; Middle Weight Woman (MWW) – 180lb Weight Class; Heavy Weight Women Division (HWW) 181lb and above Weight Class; Light Weight Men (LWM) -175lb Weight Class; Welter Weight Men (WWM) – 200lb Weight Class; Middle Weight Men (MWM) -231lb Weight Class; Heavy Weight Men (HWM) 232lb and above Weight Class. Novice, Teen and Masters one open weight division for male and one for female (All using lightweight class implements).
*If there are two to five athletes in a weight class:
1st place – Nationals invite
If there are six or more athletes in a weight class:
1st place – Nationals
2nd place – Nationals
If there are 10 or more in a class:
1st Place -Nationals
2nd Place- Nationals
3rd Place- Nationals
Entry Fee: Early $100.00 (Teen/Novice/Masters pay $70) (BY06/10/2024); $120 Teen/Novice/Masters pay $90 (by 7/15/2024); and late entry $150 payable with entry form at: REGISTRATION FORM

The CONTEST will be contested over four (4) Disciplines of which all count towards OVERALL STANDING. Athletes’ order in the first Disciplines determined by reverse order of received entry forms and entry fee and announced at the Athletes’ Rules Meeting prior to the commencement of the contest. The order in FINAL Discipline shall be the reverse order of OVERALL standing. Ties in the overall standing shall be broken by finish in previous Discipline. If discipline is contested in pairs or groups, the “lane” assignments must be uniformly applied “odd” in left lane, “even” in right lane to all the pairs. No powerlifting suit allowed in any discipline.
Scoring:
Timed Disciplines shall be hand timed, and distances shall be measured by standard measuring tapes measuring wheel. The score in a Discipline will equal the placement in the contest, i.e. first place finisher receives maximum points. If an Athlete pass on a Discipline or fail to get a measurable result in a Discipline, he will receive 0 points (i.e. fails to get one repetition in a Discipline for maximum repetitions, fails to lift the opening weight in a max lift, pass on a discipline etc. Ties for the purpose of determining overall score will share points.
ONLY STRONGMAN CORP or CERBERUS GRIP SHIRTS ARE ALLOWED to be WORN other than competition shirt.

8:00AM – Late weigh-in and check in and Strongman Corporation Registration.
9:00AM – Rules Meeting: Athletes and officials
9:30AM – GIANT TIRE FLIP
The athletes, will each attempt to flip a Giant Tire (Size and weight of tire appropriate for weigh class) for~ 50 feet in 60 second time limit. Fastest time wins.
11:00AM – “GET STONED” AT THE Hall
The athletes will attempt LIFT STONES OF VARIOUS SIZE AND WEIGHTs). Athletes will have 90 seconds time limit to LIFT stones to lap (1 point); to chest (2 points); to shoulder (3 points); OR Overhead (5 point). Most total points wins.
2:00PM – DEADLIFT MEDLEY LADDER
The athletes competing in pairs will attempt to deadlift axle bar with wagon wheels (mixed grip allowed); Saxon bar with standard plates (DOH pinch grip); standard deadlift bar with standard plates for max reps.(mixed grip allowed- no straps); Leverage (car deadlift simulation) side handles for as many reps as possible. Athlete must complete one lift on each implement before progressing. Athlete has 60 seconds to complete as many reps as possible, most lifts completed wins.
3PM – STEEPLE CHASE MEDLEY
The athletes competing in pairs will CARRY HEAVY Super Yoke approximately 25 feet; then run back to start line and pick up two sandbags; carry and load the sandbags over YOKE; there after carry the bags and load to 4’ platform. 60 second time limit. Fastest time or most bags loaded wins.
