Scoring:

Ties will be broken by bodyweight (less weight scores higher). For purpose of determining overall winner and 2nd and 3rd place awards, the score in a Discipline shall be determined by placement.  If an Athlete pass on a Discipline or fail to get a measurable result in a Discipline, he or she will receive max.points (i.e. fails to get one repetition in a Discipline for maximum repetitions, fails to lift the opening weight in a max lift, etc.).  The score for a placement shall remain the same through an entire competition (i.e. the score for 1st place is 1 points in each Discipline.

10:45AM: IronMind Rolling Thunder® Last Man Standing

The athletes (reverse order of entry forms received) will each attempt to dead lift with one hand the IronMind Rolling Thunder®, starting weight appropriate for weight class and increasing with each attempt till there is ONE MAN STANDING.  Time starts when the implement is loaded, and athletes have 60 seconds to commence the lift.  No grip aids other than chalk allowed. Athlete can use either hand, and must grip the center of the Rolling Thunder handle.  Thumb less or locked thumb grip not allowed. Each athlete must lift the opening weight to be in the competition, but may “pass” on subsequent weights as long as he does so prior to his turn.  The current men’s World Record is 150.5kg (331lb) set by Alexey Tyukalov at the A1 Russian open in Moscow on July 27, 2013 and the current Women’s World Record is held by Ludmilla Gaiduchenko (Ukraine) at 77.2kg (170.2 lb.) set September 22, 2012

12:05 PM:  IronMind Double Overhand Apollon’s Axle™ Deadlift

The athletes (reverse order of entry forms received) will each attempt to deadlift the IronMind Apollon’s Axle™ loaded with standard plates, starting weight will be appropriate for weight class and increasing with each attempt till there is ONE MAN (WOMAN) STANDING.  Time starts when Axle is loaded, and athletes have 60 seconds to commence the lift.  No grip aids other than chalk allowed. Athletes must grip axle with knuckles on both facing away from body (double overhand grip). Thumb less or locked thumb grip not allowed.  Otherwise, standard power lifting rules (including Sumo style) apply; resting Axle on the thighs or any downward movement will NOT be allowed.  Athletes must await referee’s down signal before returning the Axle back to the platform all the while maintaining the grip/contact with Axle.  Each athlete must lift the opening weight to be in the competition, but may “pass” on subsequent weights as long as he does so prior to his turn. 1:00 PM: IronMind Captains of Crush® Silver Bullet™

The athlete (reverse order of overall standing) will attempt to crush and then hold a 19mm CoC Silver Bullet™  between the handles of a No. 3 Captains of Crush (CoC) Gripper (women will use No. 2) and hold it until it falls out or the athlete’s hand opens.  Athlete’s hand must be vertical position (not supinated or pronated), in front of athlete’s body, and clear of athlete’s other hand. A 2.5kg weight (CoC Silver Bullet disc) will be attached to the CoC Silver Bullet and the best time wins. 2:00 PM: Little Big Horn Last Man Standing (men/women)

The athletes (reverse order of entry forms received) will each attempt to dead lift with one hand the IronMind Little Big Horn, starting weight appropriate for weight class and increasing with each attempt till there is ONE MAN STANDING.  Time starts when the implement is loaded, and athletes have 60 seconds to commence the lift.  No grip aids other than chalk allowed. Athlete can use either hand, and starts the lift with the lifting hand wrapped around the Little Big Horn. The lift must be performed with the Little Big Horn remaining approximately vertical and there may be no contact with the underside of the base of the Little Big Horn. Each athlete must lift the opening weight to be in the competition, but may “pass” on subsequent weights as long as he does so prior to his turn.  The current men’s World Record is 106.13kg (233.97lb) set by Kody Burns  December 13, 2014.    https://www.ironmind.com/certification/little-big-horn/rules-world-records/

3:00 PM IronMind Blockbuster Pinch Grip Block Lift Last Man Standing

The athletes (reverse order of entry forms received) will each attempt to dead lift with one hand the IronMind HUB, starting weight appropriate for weight class and increasing with each attempt till there is ONE MAN STANDING.  The lifter grabs the Block in approximately its center and lifts with the Block remaining approximately parallel to the ground. A thumb less grip is not permitted.  The lifter must stand up straight; once standing straight the lifter waits for a down signal from the referee before returning the weight to the ground.  Contact must be maintained by the lifter’s hand and the Block until the weight is resting on the floor. The referee then indicates if the lift was accepted.   In contest situations, we give the lifter 1 minute to complete the lift after his/her name is called; during that minute, there is no limit to how many times the lifter may try to complete the lift.  .Each athlete must lift the opening weight to be in the competition, but may “pass” on subsequent weights as long as he does so prior to his turn.  IronMind Pinch Grip Block World Records:  https://www.ironmind.com/certification/blockbuster-pinch-grip-block/rules-world-records/
