The 2023 All-American Strongman CHAMPIONSHIP is a Strongman Corporation PRO/AM contest OPEN to all qualified member athletes If there are two to five athletes in a weight class:

1st place – National (2023) and Regionals (2023) invite

2nd place – Regionals (2023) invite

3rd place – Regionals (2023) invite

If there are six or more athletes in a weight class:

1st place – Nationals (2023), ARNOLD AMATEUR WORLDS (2024) Invites, and Regionals (2023) invites and FREE entry into your weight category at the OFFICIAL STRONGMAN GAMES (2023)

2nd place – Nationals (2023) and Regionals (2023) invite

3rd place – Regionals (2023) invite

4th place – Regionals (2023) invite

Weight Divisions are:  Light Weight Women (LWW) -140lb(U141); Welter Weight Women (WWW) -160lb (U161) Middle Weight Woman (MWW) – 180lb (U181); Heavy Weight Women Division (HWW) 181lb and above Weight Class; Light Weight Men (LWM) -175lb (U176) Weight Class; Welter Weight Men (WWM) – 200lb(U90kg) Weight Class; Middle Weight Men (MWM) -231lb Weight Class; Heavy Weight Men (HWM) -265lb Weight Class; and Super Heavy Weight Men 265lb and above Weight Class. Also Masters 40+ and 50+ for men and Masters 40+ for women.  Please

Heavy Weight Men (HWM) -265lb Weight Class; and Super Heavy Weight Men 265lb and above Heavyweight Class are combined for purposes of OSG FREE Entry in Open category!

Official Strongman Games qualifying weight classes are:  Women – under 141lb / U64 Women’s; – under 161lb / U73; women – under 180lb / U82; Womens – open; Women’s Masters – 40+; Mens – under 176lb / U80; Men – under 198lb / U90 Men – under 231lb / U105; Men – open; Men’s Masters   40+; Men’s  50+; Women’s 40+.

The Challenge will be contested over FIVE(5) Disciplines of which all count towards OVERALL STANDING.  Athletes’ order in all the Disciplines where applicable are determined by reverse order of received entry forms and entry fee and announced at the Athletes’ Rules Meeting prior to the commencement of the contest.  The order in SUSEQENT Disciplines shall be the reverse order of PREVIOUS DISCIPLINE.finish. FINAL (5TH) Discipline in reverse order of Overall Standing.   Ties in the overall standing shall be broken by finish in previous Discipline.  If discipline is contested in pairs or groups, the “lane” assignments must be uniformly applied “odd” in left lane, “even” in right lane to all the pairs.  No powerlifting suit or straps allowed in any discipline.

Scoring:

Timed Disciplines shall be hand timed, and distances shall be measured by standard measuring tapes or measuring wheel.  The score in a Discipline will equal the placement in the contest, i.e. first place finisher receives one (1) point.  If an Athlete pass on a Discipline or fail to get a measurable result in a Discipline, he will receive max points (for example 16 points if there’s a total of 15 competitors in a weight division) i.e. fails to get one repetition in a Discipline for maximum repetitions, fails to lift the opening weight in a max lift, pass on a discipline etc. Ties for purpose of determining overall score will share points.  Example: Two-way tie for FIRST in a discipline each will receive 1.5 point; and next athlete will receive 3 points (3rd).

8:00AM               – Late weigh-in and check in and Strongman Corporation/MAS Registration.

9:30AM               – Rules Meeting:  Athletes and officials

10:05AM 11:00 AM             – Frame with Carry (All-American Strongman-All Women and Lightweight and Welterweight Men ) The athletes, competing one at a time each attempt to lift and carry a FRAME using hands/ no straps (see weight chart above) for 60 feet;. Set-down in safety zone at start ONLY. No set downs allowed other than in safety zone. Fastest finish orlongest distance within 1-minute time limit wins.

 

 11:00 AM             – Frame with Harness Carry (All-American Strongman-Middle weight and Open Men ) The athletes, competing one at a time each attempt to lift and carry a LARGE FRAME using hand and shoulder harness (see weight chart above) for 60 feet;. Set down in safety zone at start ONLY. No set downs allowed other than in safety zone. Fastest finish orlongest distance within 1-minute time limit wins.

12:00PM            – Log Clean and Press away (All-American Strongman-All athletes) The athletes will attempt to clean and press/jerk  (away)overhead a  Log  (see weight chart above) Press away on Log. Athletes will have 60 seconds time limit to complete as many lifts as possible.  Most reps wins.

 

1:00PM               – Louis Cyr/Wagon Wheel Deadlift for reps(All-American Strongman-) 

The athletes will attempt to deadlift a weight for Max reps Hitching is allowed! NO lifting suit but regular straps are allowed!   and weight will increase in fixed interval thereafter. OPEN and middleweight Men lift the Louis Cyr Barbell (15”) choice of weight (280; 300, 320 or 340kg)  Athlete has 60 seconds to complete as many reps on the heviest weight. All Women and Lighrweight and welter weight Men lift on Powerlifting bar with Wagon wheels (18”)  choice of weight 110kg, 130kg, 150kg, 170kg, 190kg, 200kg, 220kg, 240kg 260kg,280kg Athlete has 60 seconds to complete as many reps on the heviest weight.  A second higher attempt will be allowed by foregoing the first attempt!

11:30AM             –Rogue Bags Throw over BAR (All-American Strongman-4)

The athletes will attempt to throw 4 Rogue Bags iwith increasing weight (see weight chart below) over bar (12’ for women 15’ for men). Athlete will have 60 seconds time limit to complete all 4 bags over bar.  Most successful throws in least amount of time wins

2:00PM  – NATURAL STONE TO SHOULDER.  Athletes will attempt to lift the heaviest possible stone to shoulder for the most repetitions. Weights of natural Stones are: 120lb, 140lb, 177lb, 218lb, 227lb, 255,lb 286lb and 321lb Win by lifting the heaviest Stone for the most reps to shoulder in 60 seconds
